I’ve used Power to Choose for years. As a customer, I simply wanted three things: - The real cheapest plan - How much I’ll actually pay per month - A user-friendly app so I can search and filter plans easily without much scrolling So I built a small site to make shopping easier (free side project, no affiliate links): https://texas-smart-power-app.vercel.app/ - Enter your ZIP and you get the best matches in your area, ranked on a mix of low price, stable pricing, a low cancellation fee, a standard common month term (6, 8 ,12 months) and % renewable energy. - If you only care about price, pick your contract length and hit the “Lowest price” sort. - Data refreshes nightly from Power to Choose. Your monthly bill in dollars. Slide to your usage and every plan shows an estimated bill. Estimated monthly fee shown up front , so you get a quick sense of it without digging through EFLs. Flat rate tag on plans that cost the same per kWh at 500, 1,000 and 2,000 kWh, so your rate won’t swing with usage. No gimmick plans. Bill-credit tricks and minimum-usage fee plans are filtered out. Time-of-use “free nights” plans sit in their own list. Quick filters for renewable, contract length and more. Works well on a phone. . Feedback welcome!
