Original Summary
I have been dabbling in woodworking on and off for years, and I could never tell if I was getting a good price for the lumber I was buying. So I thought, "why not build something that can check what the actual prices are across multiple lumber yards." There are currently about 382 prices from 19 different dealers, with walnut ranging from $6.99 to $19.20 per board foot. https://ekoncepts.github.io/boardfoot-index/ Every price leads back to the dealer's own price sheet, and you can also submit what you paid. What would make you come back to a site like this? submitted by /u/RoughSawnWood [link] [comments]
