Original Summary
There are loads of apps that keep your Mac awake for agents. The problem is they drain your battery doing it. Pilot Light keeps it awake with the lid shut, then saves power while it does. The screen goes dark and Low Power Mode switches on. On my Mac that's 16.7 W with the lid open and 4.8 W with it closed, which is about 6 hours of battery versus 20+. I wanted it tiny. It's one Swift file of 463 lines, with no third-party code, and it uses about 25 MB of RAM and roughly 0% CPU while it waits. There's no tracking, no account and no ads. It's MIT licensed and in beta, and so far it's only been tested on my M5 Max, so I'd love to hear how it goes on other Macs.
