Given the fact that Exa is now over $100M ARR, why has Google not launched a product that competes with Exa? I might be naive here, but Google’s existing indexes and crawled pages and ranking system all can be applied to the product. It just needs to remove the ads and charge it by usage. The main objective of this question is to understand how a startup can challenge a large corp. I am also a startup founder, and it turns out that I am extremely bad at justifying if a startup would work or not.
