Original Summary

i've been building this on the side since may and it finally feels like something people can play. what it is: a god game / civilization sim that runs entirely in your browser. you watch over a world of tribes. they hunt, farm, marry, fight wars and pray to you, and you decide whether to help or send a plague. tribes make up their own languages and religions, and a world can go through 45 eras, stone age to computers. nothing is scripted. how it's built: - rust sim engine compiled to wasm, with a react frontend - no server. your world runs and saves on your own device - no ai models. it's all rules, so the same seed plays out the same way every time - no signup. there's also a desktop app (electron) where i'm stuck / what i want feedback on: - first-minute experience. too many popups at once right now and i know it - the toolbar with all the god powers. thinking about splitting it up - what would make you send it to a friend? i'm thinking shareable world seeds or a "life story" card for one person play: https://thehumanbox.com code: https://github.com/1homsi/thehumanbox . if you like it, a star on github helps a lot happy to answer anything about the sim submitted by /u/Actual_South_2484 [link] [comments]
