Original Summary
Hi guys, Im Areed, A quite popular Minecraft Addons/Mods Developer with over 1.2 million downloads, making Mac Apps for 6 months.
Problem: I got a Mac recently and was really disappointed by the lack of any modern apple style app grid, Sure we got a lot of LaunchPad apps, but none follow the new design while adding back the features that make it great. Almost all are fullscreen Launchpad alts. I really like new windowed style app grid design, but the apple's one is so bad we can't even move the apps or add folders etc.
What it does: LaunchWindow is a fast, responsive application grid designed to replace the default macOS Launchpad. Made for users who want a cleaner almost 1:1 official layout (Tahoe) but with all the features one can need in an app grid.
Comparison: launchOS is an alternative but it does the same old Launch Pad design. Launchie is also good but same issue, its design is completely different than what my app aims for. LaunchWindow is for those who want the Apple style design, but not the limitations. Main features: Custom Sorting: Support Completely custom sorting, move your apps anywhere you want, and if you dont like that, it also supports A-Z sorting for both Folder Chips and Apps themselves. Categories that work like proper folders: You can add any amount of categories in the top bar, they appear as Small Chips, Each category acts as a folder, when you move an app inside it, in ONLY appears in that folder/category. These also Support Custom and A-Z sorting. Pages and List view: Whether you like the pages view from left to right or a flowing list, you can choose anything from both Adaptive Icons Support: Fully supports MacOS dark mode and tinted/transparent icons Proper Trackpad Support: Fully supports trackpad gestures. 1:1 Liquid Glass and Design Language: LaunchWindow uses the almost exact same dimensions, size and appearance DOWN to the minute corner radius, it Aims to be as close to Apple's Official Grid in Looks as possible. (THIS IS NOT EXACTLY ACCURATE SINCE MAC OS 27 RELEASE. A new update will come out to do parity. This statement is for Tahoe 26, but even in 27, it matches the system about as well.) See video above, or visit website for screenshots. Low Power Usage LaunchWindow runs silently in the background using barely any power. It opens instantly with a smooth animations.
Privacy: No data collected, only internet thing in whole app is the checking for license key and trial.
Pricing: Free trial for 3 days, then $8.99 once, for up to 2 Macs. Simple license key, no login or accounts at all.
Details: - Not NOTARISED, right now as I don't have spare 100 bucks to gift to apple rn, target is App Store if it gets popular enough to fund the fees.
Download and Purchase: https://avuriolabs.vercel.app/product/launchwindow
Details about me as the developer: I'm new to Mac Apps publishing, but I am already REALLY well known in Minecraft Modding community: I have over 1.2 million downloads on curseforge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft-bedrock/addons/doubleha... Over 415 members in discord: https://discord.gg/HVuWXt7BMJ Over 18k downloads on modrinth (no addons here, so less than curseforge): https://modrinth.com/user/areedelahi Privacy Policy and TOS are on the website. P.S: don't say anything bad for the ad video, It was the best I could do . https://youtu.be/wfsQk8-Rbh8?si=0YlKaCeu9shEQmpq
