Original Summary
I'm curious how other founders approached customer discovery when they were starting from zero. I've found that building something is one challenge, but getting conversations with people who might actually need it is a completely different one (I definitely prefer building). I've tried reaching out to potential users, but most messages don't get a response. I'm trying to work out whether I'm contacting the wrong people, approaching them the wrong way, or simply expecting replies too quickly. For those who've been through this: How did you find people who genuinely had the problem you were solving? Did cold DMs or emails ever work for you? What helped you get your first few honest conversations? I'd appreciate hearing what actually worked, including things you tried that went nowhere. submitted by /u/Regentic_ [link] [comments]
