Original Summary

Small fast growing chess site (cipherchess.com), 3 months of GSC data attached. • Mid-Aug: ~30k impressions/day, ~150 clicks • Mid-Sep: impressions fell off a cliff, clicks dropped with them • Now: impressions still ~2k/day, but clicks climbed back to ~75–85/day My guess is Google cut a ton of junk long-tail queries I was ranking ~page 3 for, and kept me only for the stuff I actually rank for. Avg position is 5.1 now. Anyone seen this pattern? Is this a "quality filter" thing or should I be worried about the lost impressions? submitted by /u/geek_201 [link] [comments]
