Original Summary

I run OddsLink, built it entirely myself from scratch. Here's how it happened. In April I was writing scripts to compare odds for my own betting strategy. Every book I added meant more code just to work out which game was which. One book says "PHI Eagles", another says "Philadelphia", a third puts the home team first. Soccer has a draw and US sports don't. One book lists five spreads lines and you have to figure out which one is the main line and many more mismatches and bugs I had to work out and fix. After a lot of sleepless nights and trying to perfect every line possible from each book, I think I finally have a working product. So now oddslink.app gives you every book I carry (sportsbooks, exchanges, DFS) in one JSON format, with one id per game. Moneylines, spreads, totals, alt lines, props, in-play odds, history and a WebSocket feed. The setup is Python, FastAPI and Redis. I put the entire stack on a few dedicated servers because stale odds are useless to the people who'd pay for this. It's important to mention that I am not a coder. I accomplished this entirely using Claude Code and Codex. These agents autonomously open GitHub issues, merge pull requests, and run CI/CD pipelines, with me providing oversight. I'd love feedback on anything, especially whether the docs get you to a first request quickly. Happy to talk about the stack too. submitted by /u/MaterialJello1283 [link] [comments]
