Hey all. I'm a software engineer, and I've been building Gift Compass in my spare time because every year my family's gift planning lives in a mess of WhatsApp messages, notes apps and someone's spreadsheet. It's free, and there's no ads. Link: https://giftcompass.uk What it does right now: Keep gift lists for the people you buy for (ideas, what you've bought, budget). It also has a full chrome extension so you can add things to your Wishlist from any site. Run a Secret Santa: add people, set exclusions (e.g. couples can't draw each other), and draw names. Coming next: birthday tracking with reminders, in-app product searching and recommendations. I'd especially love feedback on: Is the Secret Santa setup quick enough for someone who isn't techy? What's missing that would make you switch from whatever you use now? Anything confusing in the first 2 minutes?
