Original Summary
We write a lot with AI. The feedback we kept getting was "this sounds like ChatGPT." When we looked closer, the problem was usually six or seven lines. So we built Desloppy to find those lines. Paste a draft or upload a .docx, .pptx or .pdf. It marks the lines that read as machine-made, says why, and shows how to say each one in your own words. You also get an overall score. It's a probability, not proof. The patterns it flags most in everyday work writing: - Stock openers like "In today's fast-paced world" and "I wanted to take a moment to" - Announcement voice on LinkedIn: "I'm thrilled to announce", "Here's the thing:" - The contrast frame: "It's not about the tool. It's about the people." - Lists that always come in threes - Words people rarely say out loud: "delve", "leverage", "seamless", "tapestry" - Every sentence about the same length Each kind of writing gets its own checks, so a cover letter isn't judged like a LinkedIn post or a deck. How it does in our tests: it caught 92% of real-world AI writing, including the newest 2026 models. Heavily rewritten AI text is the hardest. We train a new version on the newest AIs every week, and it only goes live once it beats the current one. It wrongly flagged under 2% of real human writing in every group we test, social posts included, and we watch that number more closely. A checker that accuses real writers does more harm than good. You can use it on the website, or as an MCP server inside Claude or ChatGPT (desloppy.com/mcp, OAuth sign-in). Try 1,000 words with no account. Sign in and you get 5,000 words once, and quick fixes don't use your words. Text is checked in memory and never stored. The feedback we want most: which flags felt wrong on your own writing. False alarms are the first thing we fix. https://desloppy.com/try?ref=reddit submitted by /u/Existing_Bobcat3186 [link] [comments]
