Original Summary

Hi everyone, I'm building Oila with a couple of friends in Helsinki, and I'd like this sub to poke holes in it before we write much more code. The problem we keep hitting: Claude or Cursor can build a decent app in an afternoon, but the moment it needs a real database, logins, backups or secrets, the agent starts suggest multiple cloud provider, all requring me to setup. Oila is an MCP server that sits between your agent and the cloud. - read setup: what you already run, so a new feature joins your app instead of starting a second one - offers: real prices from European providers (Hetzner, UpCloud, OVHcloud, Scaleway, STACKIT, bunny.net) so the agent can pick - deploy: dev first, production only after you say yes The agent fixes what the check finds and runs it again. Oila never edits your code itself. Secrets get made and stored by Oila, so they never pass through the chat. What I'd really like to know from people who vibe code: Where does your vibe code software run, and how did you get it there? Did your AI do it, or did you end up doing it yourself? Do you ever feel like, not knowing how cloud infrastructure works limit your creativity or what is possible to build? What broke or scared you when vibe coding? What do you pay each month to keep it running, across hosting, database, auth and so on? Have you ever given up on an app, because putting it online properly got too complicated? Harsh answers welcome. submitted by /u/Automatic-Bicycle186 [link] [comments]
