Original Summary
Every planner I tried worked for about 10 days. Notion, Todoist, bullet journals, all of them. The tool was never the problem. The setup was: tags, projects, due dates and priorities, every single time a thought popped into my head. So I stopped writing things down, and the system died. So I built Planist around one rule: capturing a thought should take zero decisions. ▶ 14-second demo + screenshots: planistai.com/images/share/sideproject How it works Type or talk the way you think: "call the bank before noon, gym tonight maybe, finish the Q3 report by thursday, mom's bday saturday, honestly I'm exhausted" It pulls out the tasks, times and dates and builds today's plan If you say you're tired, sick or overwhelmed, it lightens the plan and moves the rest to tomorrow instead of handing you a guilt list Notes, tasks, calendar and habits live in one place and know about each other. A task remembers the note it came from. Under the hood , for the builders here: Go API (Echo, Postgres, Redis) running on a single 1GB droplet Gemini turns the messy text into structured tasks and times (always JSON mode) Next.js web app with real-time shared notes, in 10 languages Native SwiftUI apps for iPhone and Mac, not wrappers. On those, voice is transcribed on-device. I'm a solo founder and do the design, code and marketing myself Where I'm at: it's live on web, iPhone and Mac with a free tier, no card needed. Users are still in the double digits, so I'm here for honest feedback, not applause. What I'd love to know: Does "dump it, get a plan" click right away, or do you need more explanation? If you've abandoned planners before, what killed them for you? Anything in the demo that feels like a gimmick? Happy to answer anything, including the tech, the costs or the mistakes. submitted by /u/bgurpinar [link] [comments]
