First this was a big problem for me and I realize that I am wasting my time, that was a weekly problem every single week I had to spend multiple hour on just parse and extract data manually from messy text files. So I think that I need a tool to help me with that, then I decided to build my own desktop utility using python and learning some specific modules come with this app. To make this app smooth and easy to use I build it with a clean Customtkinter interface and I implemented multithreading (threading + ThreadPoolExecutor) so this app processes large directories instantly without freezing the UI. It now can handle multiple formats (.txt, .csv, .json, .docx) and filters out errors, IPs, emails, and phone numbers in a seconds. I’m curious, how do you usually handle log parsing and data extraction in your workflows?
