Original Summary
Hey all, we’re building Allscreenshots , a website screenshot API. We’ve just added Canvas, a visual editor for building screenshot workflows. A website preview feature can involve quite a few steps: capture several URLs, generate desktop and mobile versions, resize the images, add branding, and get the files into your app. While you can use external platforms for this, like n8n, Canvas lets you connect those steps and save the whole workflow. For example: Imagine needing to take a screenshot of 2 websites × 3 viewports → 6 screenshots → watermark → gallery → S3/R2 + email You can currently: Capture one URL or a list, using desktop, mobile, custom dimensions, or full-page views. Resize, watermark, adjust colors, rotate, flip, and convert image formats. Add watermark variables such as the capture date, website URL, and resolution. Save results to a gallery, email them, upload to S3/R2, or notify your app through a webhook. Run a saved pipeline with one click, on a schedule, or by sending URLs to an incoming webhook. We can see this being useful for SaaS storefront previews, branded thumbnails, UI test automation, documentation, and recurring website archives. I’d appreciate some feedback from other founders: if your product uses website screenshots, which part takes the most work, getting the capture right, processing the images, or getting them where they need to go? You can find us at allscreenshots.com , and here’s the Canvas walkthrough . submitted by /u/bodiam [link] [comments]
