Original Summary
I’m Krishna, the developer of ScreenDot. It puts your latest tracked Screen Time total on the iPhone Lock Screen and supported Dynamic Islands, so you can notice your phone use during the day. The product decision I’d like feedback on is how to show the age of that number. Background tracking uses five-minute checkpoints, and iOS can delay updates. A Live Activity runs for up to eight hours and then needs restarting by opening the app. It isn’t a second-by-second timer. The display is deliberately minimal and black-and-white. But a number sitting in the Dynamic Island can look current even when the last update was a while ago. I’m considering a more prominent “last updated” label, although that uses some of the very limited space. Would you find a recent total plus its update time useful, or would you prefer the number to disappear when it becomes stale? How would you explain that limitation without turning a glanceable display into a warning panel? There’s no account or ads. The Live Activity requires Plus: US $0.99/month after a 14-day trial for eligible new subscribers, with automatic renewal. Regional pricing varies.
