Original Summary

Remember back in 2016 when there was an app called Picasa by Google? Simple photo management, quick edits, and all your photos in one place. I miss that experience. I’m planning to revive that experience for Windows and macOS as an open-source project. The idea is to reverse engineer it together, review how it worked, and use what we learn to build our own modern implementation. I’m a developer myself and looking for a few people interested in coding this together. It’s still at the idea stage, so we’d decide the tech stack, explore Picasa’s features, and start with a small working version. Anyone interested in collaborating? If you’ve worked with desktop apps, image processing, or UI design or just miss Picasa too, drop a comment or DM me. submitted by /u/Usual-River3828 [link] [comments]
