I’ve been working on Chances , a side project focused on NYC neighborhoods. Our app makes it easy to discover things to do nearby and find people to go with. How it works: Subscribe to your NYC neighborhood to stay in the loop on what's happening around you. Discover what's happening nearby with a map of local events, pop-ups, activities, and things to do. Find people to go with by posting on the feed and connecting with friends and mutuals. Meet up and sprout with the people you want to hang out with again. Over time, Chances will learn what kinds of activities you enjoy and who you like doing them with, so it can recommend relevant events and experiences for your different friend groups. Think getting notified about a concert you’d love to attend with one group, or an art pop-up that’s perfect for another. The goal is to make it easier to go from “we should do something” to actually doing something, without all the back-and-forth, while keeping you in the loop on the cool things happening around your neighborhood.
