Original Summary
Been working on ClingNote for a bit now. The idea is simple: attach notes to files, and when you switch what you're working on, the right notes can follow with it . I honestly wasn't sure if people would get it, but the feedback has been really encouraging. What I underestimated was how hard it is to get someone to commit to a whole new notes app. People already have their system, even if they don't love it. Once people actually try ClingNote though, the file-following part seems to click pretty fast. A lot of the feedback has also been around extending that same idea beyond notes. The biggest request so far has been Tasks / checklists that follow the file you're working on too, so that's being built right now. The biggest request so far has been Tasks / checklists that follow the same file context, so that's being built now. ClingNote already gives each file its own notes. Soon those same files can have both following the file/context automatically What it already has: - rich text - Markdown - checklists - multiple notes per file/context - search - pop-out notes - export - local storage - automatic context switching Still early, but the feedback has definitely pushed the product in a better direction. https://clingnote.com submitted by /u/Pickletickle_ [link] [comments]
