Original Summary

I always hated desktop widgets because I never see them. They sit behind every window I have open. Same problem with Notification Center, it's hidden away so I never use it.
The dock, however, is always there, it's already taking the real estate from the bottom of my screen, so why not add a second dock on the exact same real estate, that shows up as soon as the dock hides and vice versa, but not for apps - for widgets!
CoolDock is that solution with 20+ widget categories - music, weather, AI usage, 3rd party integrations, mail, todo, habit tracker, posture reminder, water reminder and over 150 wallpapers to switch to based on my mood.
And the best part is that it looks completely native with Liquid Glass, doesn't require disabling the macOS default dock and runs completely local, no telemetry, no account, only widgets and your integrations. Oh and best part #2 - I added an MCP server so I don't actually have to clickops my way to complete setup, I could just ask my AI to add a widget and configure it however I want it (MCP starts as read-only, you can choose to give it permission to actually change things).
I actually acquired CoolDock from its original developer, and it's the second dock app I acquired from a developer (ExtraDock was the first). CoolDock currently has passed 1,200 users
I am constantly adding new widgets based on user requests, currently at 160+ widgets to choose from, you can see them on the website https://cooldock.app
Happy to answer any question!
