Original Summary
Hi r/SideProject — I'm Bruno, a QA analyst turned solo founder, and this is Norte. The idea: instead of chatting with an AI inside an editor, the board is the main screen. You write a card, drag it to Doing, press ▶, and the Companion (the agent behind it — Claude Code, Gemini or Copilot CLI, your choice) implements it on its own branch. A few things I cared about: - Git decides when it's done, not the AI. A card only moves to Done when there's a real change in the repo. If the agent touches nothing, the card doesn't pretend. - The agent is allowed to say "I can't". If a card is ambiguous or contradicts itself, the Companion stops, writes the question into the card, and it goes to Blocked instead of guessing. - Backlog → cards for small models. It slices a backlog into cards strict enough for a small model to run alone: exact files, an existing function to imitate, numbered steps, a runnable acceptance check. Vague words like "improve" or "as needed" get the card rejected. - It notices things. The Companion flags a card stalled for days or commits you forgot to push, without being asked. It's Electron, runs on Windows and Linux (.exe, AppImage, .deb), with auto-update. You bring your own agent CLI. It's early and nobody outside me has used it yet — that's why I'm posting. I'd love a few people to try it on a real project and tell me where it breaks.
