Original Summary

Hey SideProject, long-time lurker. I kept seeing those viral movie recap pages and wondered how long each one takes to cut by hand. Turns out: hours. So I automated the whole thing. You upload a movie or episode, and a few minutes later you get a vertical recap back: AI-written script, best scenes picked to match each line, AI voiceover plus subtitles. Built for Shorts, TikTok and Reels. The attached video is a full run on a real episode, no cherry-picking. Stack is unglamorous: Whisper for transcription, an LLM for the script, CLIP for matching scenes, ffmpeg for the render, all on a rented GPU. Costs me about $0.20+ per video. It's live at https://aivideorecap.com - first video is free if you want to try it on your own footage. Currently at 279 free users and hunting for the first paying one. If you've run a video tool before: how did you get your first 10 customers? Genuinely asking. https://reddit.com/link/1x6nu8q/video/oymm0z96anvh1/player submitted by /u/aivideorecap [link] [comments]
