Original Summary

I write songs in iPhone Notes, and keeping chords above the right words with spaces was super annoying. I also kept opening a separate chord identifier to name odd shapes I'd stumbled on. So I built Sahtel (Estonian for "drawer", as in 🗄) sahtel.app What it does: chords pinned above syllables that stay put while you edit, a fretboard that names any shape you tap in, paste-to-convert for chord sheets, capo/transpose, chord diagrams, print/PDF/ChordPro export. It works offline and installs to your home screen. How it's built: React + TipTap for the editor, Yjs documents stored in IndexedDB (no server, no accounts), It's a pwa for offline, hosted on Vercel. Only anonymous visit counts and crash reports; songs never leave the device. I built it for myself and use it for my own songs. Now I want to see if anyone else finds it useful.
