Original Summary
Frequently traveled with fresh machines as a service member. Found it tedious having to harden mine and my peers' work/personal computers every time, so turned an old PowerShell script into a tool anyone can use. Figured if it ain't easy or convenient, standards will fail. Free, no account needed, collects no information. What it does: One click for a recommended set, and it tells you first what you’ll lose (Copilot, Phone Link, Remote Desktop) Or pick from 195 settings yourself, each with a short note on what it changes Covers Edge, Chrome, Brave and Office too Removes the Copilot apps and Recall snapshots, checks Secure Boot, one click encrypted DNS Restore point first, undo all, and uninstall puts everything back if you want With similar tools like the free version of ShutUp10++ you have to reapply your settings because Windows resets some or all of them during updates and scheduled tasks. PrivacyPenguin notices the resets and either notifies you or automatically reapplies your preferences. Checked by Microsoft Defender (clean) and VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/d55478600bc406a81fcd48465345b3291314af985183955bb69b4f1219ff61f9 It’s not code signed yet, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning (More info > Run anyway).
