Most travel apps start with "where do you want to go?". I usually know what I want to do, not where, so I built an iPhone app that works the other way round. You pick one of 13 activities, your dates and a budget, and TravelScanning scans for destinations that suit it right now. Results are ranked by match score or price, each with live conditions (for surfing: wave height, swell, sea temperature), real hotels from partners, and ways to get there. When you like one, it sends you to the partner's site to book. The app is available in 90 languages.
