Original Summary
I enjoy reading nonfiction and classics with an LLM alongside me, but copying passages into a separate chat interrupts the reading. So I built Rami, an EPUB reader with conversations inside the book. You highlight a passage and ask a question. It includes the surrounding text and where you are in the book, and keeps the conversation attached to that passage. It also carries a short, editable memory of earlier discussions into new chats, so you can keep following an idea as you read. I built it for my own reading and use it regularly. I’ve found it most useful for classics, philosophy, biographies, and history—books where I want to pause over a passage and explore its ideas or context. It works in a mobile browser, needs no signup or API key, and comes with public-domain books you can try immediately . You can also import DRM-free EPUBs and export your highlights and conversations.
