Original Summary
I’ve just been thinking after seeing all this decompilation stuff, better models, ai game development popping off and more. This is the worst they will all be and 6 months from now it will be better. I’ve been building saas consistently since 2017 so almost 10 years and it was already super difficult. 9/10 projects failed expect one. My thing is this, Let’s say I come up with a cool app, it pops off, gathers users, and at the same time others are already copying and releasing it for less with larger budgets for advertising. Thats brutal. Any unique idea you have can and will be copied if it’s worth copying. The competition now is you vs everyone with $20 in their bank. Also, I have a business that makes me money which is a saas but if I didn’t; I don’t think I would have the energy to keep trying as I did for the decade before this AI mess. I love AI but man, it can be demoralizing considering I love building but I can’t see how I would succeed again as I did with my current. (yes I’m still trying.. I just released another app) but it doesn’t feel like anything’s moving with it. Also, the reason I’m not worried about the past project I have being copied is because it’s not a new idea and it’s complex in nature, not by features and the only reason it’s working is because I got lucky by being #1 in Google search, and other search engines for the past 2 years. The issue is, starting from 0. How are you going to do the same in the current time ? People who already have a foot in the door are in a better situation. What is your strategy? submitted by /u/HD_HR [link] [comments]
