Original Summary

Quick background: I'm building Naughty Chats, an 18+ AI companion chat site for US users. You chat with AI characters who remember your conversations, and on Premium they can also send photos. Solo project, live since late September. Numbers as of today: Visitors: 177 in the last 7 days (112 the week before). About 35 a day. Sign-ups: 39 this week, about 75 in total. A bit over 1 in 5 visitors creates an account. Active: 26 people sent messages this week. Paying: 0. Card payments aren't set up yet (I'm working on it), so checkout is crypto only, and nobody has paid with it yet. Traffic: about 42% Google, 40% direct, the rest Brave, DuckDuckGo, Yandex and Bing. 56% mobile. The sign-up rate seems fine for now. The problem is that 35 people a day is tiny. Things I keep wondering about, and I'd love opinions from anyone who has grown something similar: Google SafeSearch. Adult sites get filtered for anyone who has SafeSearch on. Does keeping the public pages tame actually help, or does Google classify the whole domain once? Reddit and Quora threads. Threads like "best NSFW AI chat" rank near the top of Google. Is answering them as the founder (disclosed) worth it, or does it just get you banned? Affiliate networks like CrakRevenue. Do they take AI companion offers from a tiny site that has no card billing yet? Telegram. A lot of AI companion use seems to happen in Telegram bots. Has anyone used a bot as a funnel to a website? Sharing. Would letting people share the characters they create, with a public link, bring in new visitors, or does nobody share 18+ stuff? Backlinks. I have exactly one real one. If you do link building for adult or AI sites and want to help, comment with what you've done. I can pay a bit, or do a revenue share once cards work. Also, if you've got card payments working for an adult or AI product, I'd really like to hear how. That's the other half of my week. submitted by /u/LittleSurprise9835 [link] [comments]
