Original Summary

i built pullfolio, a free binder + price tracker for pokemon, one piece, lorcana and riftbound cards. launched it here 9 days ago. numbers so far: - launch day: 472 visitors, 277 from reddit - the next 5 days: 140-230 a day, reddit down to 10-20 - 26 signups, 11 of them from this sub what i learned: half my signups never added a card. 13 of 26 have an empty binder, only 4 have 10+. so i stopped chasing traffic and made the first step smaller: you can tick the cards you own on any set page without an account, and they're saved when you sign up. my traffic numbers were lying. on sunday the dashboard jumped to 3,791 visitors. it was one scraper pulling card pages with a normal browser user agent. now a visit only counts if the page's script actually runs in a browser. monday was the first clean day. google is quietly becoming the steadiest source. 3 visitors a day at launch, 27 a day by the weekend, mostly people searching for a set's card list. trying next: a guided "add your first card" step right after signup, and a day-3 email for people who still have nothing in their binder. question for anyone with a free app: what actually got new signups to do the first real thing? onboarding checklist, emails, something else? https://pullfolio.app/?src=reddit-sideproject-2 (free binder + prices for tcg cards) submitted by /u/exxoh [link] [comments]
