Original Summary
I've been building TIYlab, a Bitcoin portfolio automation project that runs on the user's own exchange account rather than holding their funds. The technical side has taken a lot longer than I expected. Building trading strategies is one thing. Making sure the system handles missed orders, API failures, position reconciliation and changing market conditions correctly is another. I've also been working on a separate adaptive strategy research system, currently undergoing a 90-day forward-testing campaign using paper portfolios. I'm deliberately keeping those experimental results separate from the product's live performance. It's too early to claim that the adaptive models have a real edge. One thing I'm struggling with is how to communicate trust before having a long, independently verified track record. If you were evaluating a project like this, what would matter most to you: transparent live results, drawdown history, execution reliability, or the security of the exchange connection? I'd appreciate genuine criticism, especially from people who've built or used trading automation. Project: https://tiylab.com submitted by /u/Maleficent-Success-6 [link] [comments]
