Original Summary
This release video was built with Claude Opus and the Motion animation library (formerly Framer Motion), using real production assets rather than mocks. This keeps the workflow easy even as the UI evolves. In our dev environment, we use Playwright to record user sessions, capturing clicks, cursor paths, and DOM snapshots. We use AI to reconstruct the recorded session into editable HTML with Motion animations. Live walkthroughs are rarely clean... they have misclicks, awkward pauses, and wrong turns. Converting the session to HTML makes cleanup trivial: we hand the Motion code to Opus, which tidies up cursor easing, swaps out copy, and trims dead air on command. We chose Motion because its timeline makes sequencing far easier. Believe me, we tried with vanilla CSS animation, and changes were so time-consuming, as every animation's start and end time had to be recalculated. We then render the final Motion timeline directly to video using a headless Chrome browser. All videos on our homepage are created this way. submitted by /u/kemnern [link] [comments]
