Original Summary
I work as a technical instructor, so I spend quite a bit of time sharing my screen and explaining how software works. One thing that always bothered me was having to switch between different tools just to explain something. I'd use one app to draw on the screen, another to highlight something, and sometimes a separate whiteboard. I ended up building my own Mac app called TeacherPalette. It has screen annotation, a Spotlight to focus attention on specific areas, a Magnifier for small UI elements, and a whiteboard with PDF support. I released it on the Mac App Store last month. It's been a pretty interesting experience building and launching a product on my own.
