Original Summary
Before writing any code for Vast, I generated a concept image in Gemini, a 3D dependency graph, glowing nodes, a chat panel, the whole futuristic dashboard aesthetic. It looked great as a screenshot. Then I looked closer and some of the labels in my own generated mockup were actual garbled nonsense. Felt like a pretty direct metaphor for the whole direction, impressive at a glance, falls apart once you actually try to read it. Asked myself the real question before building anything: does 3D tell a developer anything that a flat 2D graph with real risk numbers doesn't already tell them? No. It's just heavier and harder to navigate, the third axis isn't encoding any real information. Cut it before MVP. Shipped a plain 2D graph instead. Not the fun answer but it's the one people can actually read. submitted by /u/Ok-Emu-8106 [link] [comments]
