I got completely burnt out trying to manage freelance billing using messy sheets and clunky apps. I realized I was spending more time formatting PDFs and pasting UPI QRs than actually tracking my money. So, I spent the last few weeks building a bypass. ​I wired the Meta WhatsApp API to Gemini so I can just text a bot, and it instantly builds a branded PDF invoice. ​The Stack: ​Frontend: React (for the web dashboard/logs, though I barely use it now). ​AI: Gemini API (NLU to parse natural language into structured JSON). ​Delivery: Meta WhatsApp Business API. ​The Hurdles (Where I lost time): ​LLM Math & ​UPI Intent Links mostly. ​I’m currently down ₹5,000 in API costs and trying to figure out if this is actually useful to anyone else (freelancers, local business owners, etc.) or if I just over-engineered a notepad. ​Video attached of how it works.
