Original Summary

I'm one of the people behind NiceSleep, a night-sound recording app for iPhone and Android. The small interaction problem we're working on is what happens after a long recording. Recording a night is only half the job: the next morning, you still have to find a short snore, sleep-talk clip or other sound worth hearing. NiceSleep organizes recorded sound events into a timeline, with times and durations, so you can open and replay individual clips instead of manually scrubbing through one long file. Detection isn't perfect, and the sleep reports are estimates. I'd like feedback on the review step: if a night has lots of clips, what makes you decide which one to open first—the time, the duration, the sound category, or something else? I'm especially interested in ways to reduce unnecessary tapping without hiding the context of the night. Free to download on both platforms. On iPhone version 1.5.15, any 3 complete clips per sleep recording are free to replay; Premium unlocks all clips, with monthly/yearly subscriptions. Android has ads and in-app purchases, with different access terms. Please check the current local store and in-app terms. iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6768932293 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.astropeak.sleep This is for reviewing recorded night sounds, not diagnosing or treating sleep apnea. submitted by /u/Extension_Bit5559 [link] [comments]
