Original Summary
I built Holidayify, a Shopify app that gives a store a holiday look (Halloween, BFCM, Christmas, Valentine’s) on a schedule and switches it back automatically. Posted an update here a couple months ago, it’s now live with paying customers. This week I asked a few subs how to grow beyond one-at-a-time cold outreach. Biggest things I learned: “Seasonal software” confuses people. A store owner told me they couldn’t see why they’d pay for seasonal anything. Reframing it as “runs all year across holidays” made way more sense Freelance Shopify devs and small agencies came up over and over, since they touch dozens of stores and get asked “what should I use” Merchants set up holiday stuff in October and early November, then barely touch their store until January. My window is basically now App store screenshots: lead with the result on the storefront, not the admin settings. Most people only see the first 2–3 Redoing my listing this week based on all this: https://apps.shopify.com/holidayify For anyone who’s launched something seasonal, what would you prioritize in the next 4 weeks? submitted by /u/matthewM7607 [link] [comments]
