Original Summary
I remember times when every tab was open for a reason, but after 50 tabs the reasons were buried. I built SaveNest so one shortcut moves a tab into a local, searchable library, and then I can finally close it. The awkward product decision was going extension-free. SaveNest uses macOS browser automation to work across Safari and Chromium browsers from one app. That forced me to spend more time on permission messaging and safe failure states than on the actual link-saving code. The current version supports individual, selected-tab, and whole-window capture, along with notes, tags, search, archives, import/export, and a switcher for open tabs. Saved links stay local. I've launched it at $4.99/month, down from $9.99: https://savenest.app I'd like feedback on the landing page and pricing. Does "local and extension-free" feel like a real reason to choose it, or does that sound like implementation trivia? submitted by /u/dmytro_omelian [link] [comments]
