Original Summary
Hey r/SideProject , YES THE VIDEO IS MADE WITH AI There's endless AI debate everywhere right now — from "you can build the entire planet with it" to "in 3 years we'll be fixing all of it by hand." So I ran an experiment. I finally built Clipster, an app I'd had in my head for aaages but didn't think I had the skills to pull off. It's a clipboard manager — smooth and (imo, lol) good-looking — that organizes everything you copy and shares it across your Windows PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad. Why I built it: I was sick of being on Windows at the office all day, coming home to my Mac with everything I'd copied gone — like my custom PHP debug snippet I use thousands of times a month — then hopping to my gaming PC with still nothing, and nothing on my phone when I wanted to move a link or a photo between devices. Maybe I just own too many devices and hate wasting time. Stack: iPhone app in Swift, desktop in Tauri + Rust, little landing site in Vue. Sync is end-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM, zero-knowledge — the server only stores ciphertext it can't read). Here's my challenge — see if you can call it: - Built entirely without AI at any point, to test my skills as an experienced dev? - Or built entirely with AI, without me writing a single line across both apps and the site? Curious what you think — and honestly, any feedback on the app itself is welcome. 👉 clipster-app.com submitted by /u/AggravatingMedia3783 [link] [comments]
