Original Summary
I'm a long-time OpenClaw user and kept spending time on config and fixes. I wanted something I can install and forget, so I built Conch, an open-source AI assistant inspired by OpenClaw and Hermes. It's resilient in two ways. It does what it can to keep itself running: last week it froze on my 16GB Linux box because builds and tests ate all the memory, so now it checks the memory limits, queues work and tells the agent the machine is busy. And when you give it a task, it tries a few different approaches before giving up and asking you. It runs on your own machine or a VPS and uses the AI subscriptions you already pay for (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Gemini) or API keys or Ollama. It comes with 40+ apps and you can chat with it from Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal or Discord. It's alpha, so there will be bugs.
