Original Summary
A YouTube bot doesn't always leave a spammy comment. Sometimes it copies a normal reply and puts the scam/NSFW link in its bio, or points to another channel with a porn avatar. That's the problem I built Kalm for. It screens the comment and public author channel before showing the comment. You can block sites or keywords, and optionally hide every linked comment. It also has ad blocking, including YouTube ad filters, based on uBlock Origin Lite. It's free and open source. Checks and the cache stay in your browser; there's no Kalm account. It doesn't detect porn images or copied text by itself, and the promotion rule can catch legitimate accounts too. An updated UI is pending store approval. Would you want the channel-promotion rule on by default, knowing it may hide normal channel recommendations? submitted by /u/MinimumMarionberry98 [link] [comments]
