Original Summary
Hey all, I've just launched TryTestimonials: https://trytestimonials.com The problem: small business owners get lovely feedback from customers, but it sits in texts and emails. The existing testimonial tools felt too big and too pricey for a solo coach or a local trade. What it does: You send customers one link. They write a few lines with no sign-up. Replies wait in an inbox until you approve them. You paste a two-line embed and approved testimonials show as a wall on your site. A few things I cared about: The widget is about 3.5 KB gzipped, with no web fonts, images or tracking cookies. It uses Shadow DOM, so your site's CSS can't break it (and it can't break your site). There are guides for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, Framer and Carrd. The free plan gives you 1 wall showing up to 15 testimonials. Pro is $19/month, and there's a $49 lifetime deal capped at the first 30 buyers. I'm a solo founder in the UK. I'd love honest feedback on the landing page, the onboarding, or anything that feels confusing. submitted by /u/NotGeorge1 [link] [comments]
