Original Summary
I became a dad a couple of years ago and we've now got our second on the way, and my best mates and I have been gaming together since primary school but now we've all got little ones it's got so much harder to line up. Half the time you hop on and one of them is on bedtime duty, then the next night he's free and I'm not, and it just goes round like that So I ended up making an app for it called ReadyCheck where everyone just marks the nights they're free and you can see which one actually works for the group. We're using it right now to plan some nights around WoW Forever so our wives get a bit of proper notice as well haha The other thing was we'd sometimes all get on and just play the same old thing, which was nice for a catch up but the game itself wasn't really fun anymore. It's already helped me quite a bit there tbh, I actually had no idea Enshrouded was about to get its full release until the app told me, and same thing happened with Valheim just a couple of weeks ago It also keeps track of your games, you can connect Steam or just follow what you play and it'll tell you when a new season or patch or release is coming. I play a lot of Diablo so I like knowing well ahead when a season's about to drop, and I've been on DayZ a lot lately as well and the Badlands notification came through on there too It's not just a dad thing at all, it's really for anyone with a busy calendar who still wants to play with their friends. I mainly built it for my group and I'll keep running it for us, but it's free on iOS and Android if anyone else can use it: readycheck.team/get Would genuinely love to hear if there's stuff missing or anything that's annoying to use, hopefully we're not the only group with this problem submitted by /u/Malpiedi [link] [comments]
