Original Summary
Hey everyone, As someone who always ended up with pages of messy lecture notes and hour-long lecture recordings that I never actually had time to re-listen to before exams, I built StudyBrief. The goal was simple: automate the tedious part of studying so you can focus on active recall. What it does: - 🎙️ Voice to Structured Notes: Records long lectures/meetings, filters out the fluff, and extracts key formulas, concepts, and takeaways. - 📷 Document & Handwritten OCR: Digitizes messy notes or textbook pages into clean, formatted summaries. - 🧠 Auto Flashcards & Quizzes: Converts generated notes directly into active recall flashcards and practice test questions. - 🔒 Zero Lock-in: You can even plug in your own API keys (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude) to use it completely without limits, or use the free built-in tier. It's currently live on Android (Google Play): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.studybrief.app I'd really love your honest feedback, critique, and feature suggestions. What would make this more useful for your daily workflow? submitted by /u/Appropriate_Trip9406 [link] [comments]
