Original Summary
Hey everyone, I'm Dimitrios. I've been building Quantified Self since 2017. Somehow that's nine years already. It grew quite a bit beyond what I originally had in mind, and theres still a lot I want to build. The idea I keep coming back to: you have years of activities, sleep, health readings and notes about what's happening in your life. I want that history to be useful together. QS brings activities from Garmin, Suunto, COROS and Wahoo into one place, or you can upload your own files. You can inspect individual workouts, compare recordings from different devices, explore maps and look at how your training changes over time. The training analysis covers load, fitness, fatigue, form, readiness, power curves and more. The Health section , which is still in beta, brings in sleep, HRV, heart rate and body measurements, with the sources kept clear. Recently I've been spending a lot of time on planning what comes next. Training plans and structured workouts are implemented now. You can build a session with repeats and targets, see its interval profile, save it in your workout library, and organize a dated plan into phases. Or just make one workout for tomorrow. Planning is free. With Pro, compatible workouts can also be sent to Garmin, Suunto or Wahoo. The MCP integration is another part I'm quite excited about. It lets compatible clients like ChatGPT or Claude work with your actual training and health history. You could ask how your sleep and HRV changed during heavier training weeks. Or ask it to propose today's workout using recent load, recovery readings, your existing schedule and notes about travel or illness. It can now prepare plan, workout and delivery changes for you to review and approve. Those actions require separate permissions. Notes, tags and Training changes each have their own access, so you choose what it can use. There's also an Assistant inside QS if you don't want to connect an external client. Behind all this are three open-source projects we're actively developing: Quantified Self — the platform FIT File Parser — reading FIT files Sports Lib — the shared sports-data foundation I'd really like to find more people interested in building this with us. Frontend, sports data, integrations, testing, or someone with a good idea and the patience to work through it. The hosted version has a free tier, with paid plans for more history and connected services. Those help pay for infrastructure, sync and continued development. Keeping this going for nine years has been a fair amount of work, honestly. If you could ask your complete training history one question, what would it be? submitted by /u/Scary-Ad4970 [link] [comments]
