Original Summary
Hey guys. So for last 3 months I've been learning non-stop about SaaS world to eventually start my own but I'm basically stuck at research phase. In the meantime, I was laid of due to financial crisis in company. I'm a senior frontend engineer and while I'm still looking for a regular job, I want to use this time to finally start a project. after doing a research based on trustmrr data to find trends and get the idea of what is working currently, I noticed that most ideas that are founded after January 2026 and doing 2k+ MRR are apps with organic tiktok growth. One thing they have in common is high content creation potential (visible and fast value) like pet ai video generation, ai photo enhancement, brain rot video generation and else. (All of them are something i would hate to work on btw 😄 ) Even though I always wanted to work on a B2B idea this small research made me more lost on what to build. Should I go for B2C? I set a 2 week deadline to find an idea and somehow end this frustrating loop. Do u have any advice on better research strategy? There are a lot of self reported businesses that claim making serious money and a very few having verified revenue. Do u know other reliable sources to see what kind of ideas are really making a good revenue? Should i look for larger date range than January? submitted by /u/GuestPsychological98 [link] [comments]
