Original Summary
I've been building Tekni, a new creative platform focused on the process behind the work, not just the finished result. https://www.tekni.app/ Most creative platforms are built around polished portfolios, finished projects and scrolling through other people's work. But what about the messy middle? The sketches, WIPs, experiments, moodboards, questions and countless iterations that actually get you there? That's what I'm trying to build with Tekni. It's a creative platform where you can share your process, explore what others are making, collect inspiration, join discussions and connect everything back to the finished project. Think less about presenting a perfect grid of work and more about everything that happens behind it. I'm also experimenting with a different kind of interface. Rather than a traditional social media feed, Tekni uses a multi-window layout with separate scrollable tabs, creating the feeling of exploring several spaces within one interactive workspace. You can discover work, browse ideas and move between different areas without everything feeling like one endless feed. You can still build a portfolio of your best work, with a personal link anyone can visit, even without a Tekni account. The difference is that your portfolio is only one part of the picture, not the whole experience. The bigger idea is to create a space for creatives across disciplines, whether you're a designer, artist, animator, photographer, maker, student or just someone who enjoys creating. Creativity isn't always linear, and I don't think the platforms we use always reflect that. Tekni is still new, so I'd genuinely love some outside perspectives. Any thoughts, feedback or suggestions are genuinely appreciated! 😊 submitted by /u/Powerful_Pay8302 [link] [comments]
