Original Summary

Title. I noticed that most posts on this subreddit are a variation of "I coded the software, now what?". An actual founder wouldn't do this. The coding would be the last step, and in some cases they don't even know how to code themselves. Their cofounder or outsourced developers do the coding. An actual founder would be someone that knows exactly who their potential customers are, has spoken to them directly, has asked them exactly where their pain point lies and knows exactly who the software will be sold to before a single line of code is written. They already found the problem to solve and know the customer by name and cell number. The coding is the final step to actually build the solution, but the business is the relationships to people/businesses willing to pay to have their pain solved. Not the software. So my question is, if SaaS is a business profession that requires a salesman or founder (not a developer), why is this subreddit so short of founders and so full of developers that have never founded a business (not a software)? submitted by /u/Training-Gur-2724 [link] [comments]
