Original Summary
My phone used to get filled with random screenshots, duplicate photos, videos I didn’t need anymore, and thousands of pictures I kept postponing cleaning up. So I built GalleryDiet. The main idea is pretty simple: you go through your gallery Tinder-style — swipe right to keep, left to mark for deletion — and review everything before anything is actually deleted. Over time I’ve added a few things that I personally wanted too: it remembers which photos you’ve already reviewed, so you can stop and continue later detects duplicate and similar photos helps identify videos taking up a lot of storage optional reminders to keep the gallery under control everything is processed locally on the device It’s already published on Android, but it’s still an early project and I’m actively deciding what to build next. Right now I’m especially considering things like better handling of duplicates caused by Google Photos / Samsung Gallery syncing, cleaning photos by month, and a way to review old screenshots before they pile up forever. I’d genuinely love some feedback from other builders: What part of photo cleanup annoys you the most? And if you try the app, what’s the first thing you’d change?
