Original Summary

I've been rebuilding MinimalPairs for language learners who know words on paper but struggle to hear similar sounds. The exercise is simple: hear two reference words, then a different word in another voice. Choose which reference shares its sound. The spelling stays hidden while you listen, and the correct sounds replay after you answer. Try it with English ship vs sheep: https://minimalpairs.co/challenge/ship-vs-sheep?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=listening-challenge Or French tu vs tout: https://minimalpairs.co/challenge/tu-vs-tout?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=listening-challenge Those are samples from a wider library of vowel and consonant contrasts, not just two word pairs. There's also a listening diagnostic to help you choose what to practice. I'm the founder. Both challenges work without an account or payment; the full lesson library is paid. I'd love feedback on the first round: is it clear what you're listening for? And if you're learning a language, which sound difference would you want to practice? submitted by /u/Some_Tap_2122 [link] [comments]
