Across Cursor, VS Code and Xcode combined, I'm at 8k and creeping up on 8.5k. A year ago I would've laughed if you told me that. I wasted so much time marketing the wrong way, so I wanted to share what I've learned, in case it saves someone else some pain. 1, try everything, look at what your competitors are doing, if a post stops your scrolling and makes you look at it for a second, save it and copy it 2, think to yourself what is fundamentally the best way too market your product, cut out any self doubt. if you had all the money and all the confidence how would you market your product? well go ahead and do what ever comes too your head 3, if something is too little effort too do then its oversaturated and lots of other people are doing it already. 4, plan plan plan plan, if your gonna do ads (or whatever), add some strategy too it and plan out, consider timing where its gonna be posted too, how the user might react too it, along with many other factors 5, think about what your perfect client profile looks like and market towards that as much as possible. if you are marketing for a meditation app for example, use adorable dogs as this would destress people. if your marketing junk food market your ads towards people who play video games very often.
